Subsequently, DHL was involved in relief measures relating to Hurricane Katrina7 and the earthquake in South Asia in October 2005.
6] AET was a part of the Disaster Resource Network (DRN), a network of companies initiated by World Economic Forum in 2001. Seven companies which participated in DRN are Aramex, Chapman Freeborn, DHL, DNATA, Dubai Aid City, Emirates and TNT. According to DRN, it acted as a bridge between businesses in the engineering-construction industry, humanitarian response organizations and government agencies to improve international disaster response and preparedness operations in vulnerable regions of the world. |
